Welcome to The Cassadaga Lakes Association
We hope you will be a frequent visitor to our site to see what's happening in and around our lakes.
Planting of New Lake Shore Demo Garden
The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy(CWC) has offered to include a 2nd Demonstration Garden on our lakes.
The location is right across the street from the Fellowship of the Spirit (282 Dale Drive), at the mouth of the trail through the woods, on the lake's edge. This second location is a good complement to the first garden that is on the outlet off the Fire Department parking lot. That garden is partially shaded with wet soil and this 2nd location is full sun with dry soil so there will be different plants in each.
The planting of the 2nd garden will be on Wed. Oct. 19th starting at noon. Below is the plan diagram.
If you are interested in joining us we would welcome your helping hands! Please let me know if you plan on joining us by emailing Nancy Wickmark (nwickmark@yahoo.com) and including a phone number where I can contact you in case we need to change the date or time.

The three interconnecting glacial lakes which make up Cassadaga Lakes are home to great fishing from pan fish to muskellunge. This is a nature lover?s paradise. Lucky individuals may get to see bald eagles, beavers, great horned owls, muskrats, mute swans, osprey, painted turtles or a nice fish swirling next to their boat.
Canoeing and kayaking are great fun in the calm waters of the Cassadaga Lakes. You may see fishermen, water skiers, tubers, and swimmers in the lake all at the same time. Whatever the sport you are participating in on the lakes, please come and enjoy and respect those that are on the lake with you.
The CLA hopes that you will join us for your water sport activities. Our commitment to educational programs, water safety, water quality testing, and weed control helps enhance this wonderful water environment. Please do your part to protect the lakes and keep them beautiful for generations to come.
Naturally yours,
Nancy Wickmark,
President CLA
