Welcome to The Cassadaga Lakes Association
We hope you will be a frequent visitor to our site to see what's happening in and around our lakes.
The DEC Boat Launch work is scheduled to start on Monday May 10th. The expected completion time is approximately 1 week.
UPDATE 1 (5/24/2021)
The Plan to push the new slab into the water was cancelled last week as the contractor determined the concrete was not cured enough. The new plan is to push the slab in early this week and then pour the connecting on-land slab. The contractor will not commit to cure time so we have been told to not expect that the launch will be open for Memorial Day.
Stay tuned for further updates.
The Cassadaga Lakes Association is Hiring
The CLA will hire two seasonal employees for the Summer of 2021.
Job responsibilities will include:
1. Harvesting weeds on the Lakes using the CLA Harvester and hauling cut weeds to the Village compost pile using the CLA tractor and trailer.
2. Routine upkeep of the CLA building, including grass cutting and trimming, and winterization of the building.
3. Routine maintenance of the Harvester and other CLA equipment.
Although the employees will be able to set their own hours based on factors like weed growth and weather, the bulk of cutting activity takes place from mid-June through August. Based on past results, employees can expect to work a total of 125-150 hours for the 2021 season. Pay will be $16.00 per hour.

The three interconnecting glacial lakes which make up Cassadaga Lakes are home to great fishing from pan fish to muskellunge. This is a nature lover?s paradise. Lucky individuals may get to see bald eagles, beavers, great horned owls, muskrats, mute swans, osprey, painted turtles or a nice fish swirling next to their boat.
Canoeing and kayaking are great fun in the calm waters of the Cassadaga Lakes. You may see fishermen, water skiers, tubers, and swimmers in the lake all at the same time. Whatever the sport you are participating in on the lakes, please come and enjoy and respect those that are on the lake with you.
The CLA hopes that you will join us for your water sport activities. Our commitment to educational programs, water safety, water quality testing, and weed control helps enhance this wonderful water environment. Please do your part to protect the lakes and keep them beautiful for generations to come.
